A lot has happened since my last post.....

My last post was about Madeleine having play time at our local park in Queenanne.  I was currently expecting baby number two and had absolutely no energy...hint hint this is why its been almost a year since my last post.

On Father's day of last year my husband and I welcomed Cora Lois Shackelford into the world at 12:10am.  Cora is named for my Great Grandmother Cora Elizabeth Puderbaugh and my best friend, Lois Gauvin.

While I was enjoying my maternity leave our landlord decided to raise our rent to an unaffordable amount with or without a lease.  So in 60 days we qualified for a mortage, found a house and moved into it.  Slowly but surely the number of boxes in our garage gets smaller and smaller.  With the number of boxes dwindling the number of "honey do" projects keeps growing.

This past week Madeleine and I took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather and did some much needed yard work.  Especially since we are prepping our back yard for a big surprise....

Then on Wednesday and Thursday when it was rainy and yucky outside we installed shelves in the garage for my plant lights and remodeled the laundry room/ closet.

The Joys of Moving.....

So Paul and I have been officially living in our new house for about two weeks now. We finally have the internet service hooked up and the TV. We are slowly unpacking...I have actually seen the floor in our living room and office for the first time since we moved in.

The lesson that I have learned from this move...its very important that you new landlord have your place cleaned before you move in! Our house was not cleaned and I am still struggling to clean and then unpack. Yes, our landlord did give us money off our second month's rent but I'm sure that it was enough....

I was so happy that Wednesday was our first meeting of stitch n bitch for the new year. I needed my friends. You don't realize how long two weeks can seem until you go through the stress of moving and snowstorms all at once with Christmas mixed in.

*****We Are Moving*****

Paul and I have decided to leave our charmed life in Queen Anne. This morning we toured a house in Tukwila. Its a spanish style bungalow with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. There is a lot of property surrounding the house and it has a fenced back yard for Samantha and Jasper to play in. More information to follow.
